Introduction

Founded in 1998, Yunnan Duobao Cable Group Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise that carries out integrated activities of cable production and manufacturing, technological research and development, sales and exports. By virtue of its modernized management, large-scale production and comprehensive strengths, Duobao Cable Group has earned trust from clients and won multiple honorary titles and awards, such as Yunnan Provincial People's Government Quality Award, National Specialized, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative “Little Giant”, Top 50 Enterprises in the Cable Industry of China, National Green Factories, National IP Competitive Enterprises, Top 100 Non-Public-Owned Enterprises in Yunnan Province, and Gold Award in the China Brand Competition, to name but a few.

Duobao Cable Group is headquartered in Kunming, Yunnan, with 40 branch companies and representative offices at home and abroad. Its business network, consisted of more than 3,000 distribution outlets, has covered China and reached Southeast Asian countries and regions. Duobao has built three production bases at home and abroad, with a planned production value over RMB 10 billion. Being the member unit of SAC/TC422 and SAC/TC330, Duobao has the only B1-rating wire and cable combustion laboratory in southwest China, a laboratory accredited by CNAS, a provincial technology center, and a science and technology center. In addition to being a research parter with domestic well-known universities and research institutes, Duobao has participated in drafting the Guidelines for the Development of China’s Wire and Cable Industry during 14th Five-Year Plan Period, as well as drafting and formulating 40 national, association, industrial and corporate standards. Duobao owns hundreds of advanced equipment for production, inspection and testing of wires and cables, and registers 90 patents for inventions and utility models. Duobao is one of the first Yunnan cable brands that have passed the certification of TÜV Rheinland Group, and a wire and cable brand trusted by its clients.

With advanced equipment, Duobao can produce various types of wires and cables according to Chinese national standards (GB), European standards (EN), American standards (ANSI/ASTM), British standards (BS) and German standards (DIN).

Duobao is mainly engaged in the research, production and sales of wires and cables used for building, industrial manufacturing, information transmission and rail transit, flexible mineral insulated fire-proof cables, special cables, as well as wires and cables at high, middle and low voltages up to and including 110kV. Both products and services can be customized to meet clients’ demands. Duobao products have been widely used in aerospace, rail transit, wind power and hydropower, expressways, industrial manufacturing, new energy, and urban works. For example, Duobao products have been used in the national and international key projects such as Xichang Satellite Launch Center, Beijing Daxing International Airport, Line 18 of Guangzhou Metro, Chongqing Rail Transit, Baihetan Hydropower Plant, Sichuan–Tibet Railway, Xinjiang Desert-crossing Expressway, the first expressway in Laos, China-Laos Railway, the Belt and Road multi-stage hydropower plants in Laos, Iran, and Uzbekistan. Many products have been exported to countries and regions along the Belt and Road. Duobao has so far been selected as an excellent supplier by many large enterprises, such as State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid, China Communications Construction, China Railway Group, China Railway Construction, China National Nuclear Corporation, Power Construction Corporation of China, China Energy Engineering Corporation, SDIC Grid, SPIC, CHN Energy, China Gezhouba Group, Hongta, Vanke, Greenland, Country Garden, Poly, etc.

Kunming Duobao Cable Factory was established

Wangjiaying production base was put into production, and Kunming Duobao Cable Factory was renamed Kunming Duobao Cable Co., Ltd.
2010

Duobao's production base in Kunming High-tech Industrial Development Zone started construction.
